The V-MAT Math Fluency Program – Level 2 takes children to the next important stage of their mathematical journey. Building upon the strong foundation developed in Level 1, this level introduces **subtraction and division** through logic, visual understanding and meaningful real-life situations.

Children do not merely memorise procedures or follow mechanical steps. They learn what subtraction and division actually mean, why each method works and how to approach problems confidently using their own thinking.

Subtraction is introduced through concepts such as taking away, finding the difference, comparing quantities and identifying missing numbers**. Division is presented through equal sharing, grouping and understanding how many times one quantity fits into another.

Every concept is explained gradually and interactively, without unnecessary pressure or cognitive overload. Children observe, explore, answer questions, try their own methods and receive immediate guidance whenever they need help.

Why Are Subtraction and Division Taught Together?

Subtraction and division are naturally connected because both involve **working backwards, separating quantities and discovering what remains or how many equal groups can be formed. Subtraction is the reverse of addition, while division is the reverse of multiplication. Learning them together helps children connect all four basic operations and develop a more complete and logical understanding of mathematics.
